Welcome to the vacation home "Loneperle" in Lonestrand near Lindesnes-Furuholmen, Vestagder, Southern Norway.
The house, which was completely renovated in 2023, is located on a spacious and very well-kept remaining farm in a beautiful location near the huge and fish-rich freshwater reserve Tarvatnet, only 1000 meters away and 900 meters from the fjord. There is also a lake directly in front of the house, where trout and seasonal salmon can be found.
House Loneperle is the perfect place for families with children, vacation with dog, or for sea and trout anglers, the fjord is only 2 minutes away by car.
The pretty vacation home sleeps 6 adults and has 3 bedrooms and a brand new shower room. It extends over a living space of approx. 107 m², the renovation was completed in summer 2023. During the renovations, antique and modern elements were harmoniously combined with antique furniture and furnishings. The house has a modern kitchen, a cozy living-dining room with WiFi and Smart TV as well as a large south-facing terrace with a view of the lake. The parking space for your vehicle is located directly at the house, which is accessible via a paved sandy path.
A special highlight of the vacation home is that you can rent the right boat for you if required. You will always find an undisturbed spot for swimming and fishing by the fjord. Despite the quiet and secluded location, the vacation home is situated in a valley, and vehicles driving on Spangereidveien can be heard from time to time, depending on the wind. However, the FH is only 1 hour from Kristiansand and close to Furuholmen, Lindesnes-Spangereid and the small town of Vigeland. Native species of char and trout may only be fished in the lake with the owner's permission. When the large freshwater lake is frozen over and the ice is firm enough, ice skating is great fun. But be careful, check beforehand whether the ice is really safe.

You can reach the vacation home in 50 minutes via the E39 coming from Kristiansand. At the E39 / Vigeland traffic circle, take the FV 460 road and continue in the direction of Lindesnes Fyr. After passing Furuholmen, turn right onto Loneveien in Lonestrand.
Fishing in the Lindesnes Spangereid area, Mandal, Tarvatnet, Lonestrand, Furuholmen, Snig
Sea anglers can fish on the fjord and the open sea, or go after flatfish from the shore. We recommend a boat trip to the best fishing areas in the region, off the islands and on the plateaus at Lindesnes - Spangereid. Depending on your performance, you will need just under 10-20 minutes to reach the open sea in a safe boat. In the fjord estuaries you can catch all kinds of sea fish (20 fish species, good sizes) depending on the season, weather and tide. Good cod, pollack, coalfish, ling and tusk are waiting for you on the open sea. Why not try fishing for cod and plaice from the jetty with a float while having a barbecue. Please pay attention to the closed seasons and the fishing limits in the estuaries. In summer until the beginning of November, shoals of mackerel invade deep into the fjord. Depending on the season, you can also catch sea fish and flatfish directly from land on the nearby beaches. Your contact person will show you the fishing grounds on site. We also recommend fishing trips on the fjord or towards the open sea to the best fishing areas in the region off Mandal, Furuholmen, the offshore islands and the plateaus. By boat and in good weather, you can reach the famous fishing grounds of southern Norway off Furuholmen and Lindesnes.
If you have a small boat, it is better to fish behind the archipelago and not go out to sea. With a larger boat, it will take you about 15 minutes to reach the open sea from the jetty. You can catch sea fish in the fjords depending on the season, weather and tide.
On the open sea you can catch good coalfish, cod, pollack, mackerel, ling and tusk, as well as the occasional halibut. The river mouth at Furuholmen is known for good sea trout and salmon catches. Fishing in fresh water / in the lakes and streams in the area:
If you like fishing for salmon, trout and char, this is the place to be. The huge Tarvatnet lake with drinking water quality is home to native salmonid species. Please - you need a fishing license for the large Tarvatnet. Please ask in advance!
Please pay attention to the closed seasons and fishing limits in the estuaries. The Audna in particular is home to fantastic salmon in the pools; you will need a day ticket/permit for the various zones during the season.
The Audna salmon river (50 km long) flows through the Audnedalen valley from Ytre Øydnevann to Snigsfjord by the sea. The course of the river is very varied and calm stretches alternate with rapids and waterfalls. The width varies between 10 and 20 m and the fishing depends heavily on the water level. After heavy rainfall, the first few days produce the best results.
In the Audna you can only fish with a state license for salmon and sea trout. These can be obtained online or at the post office. A permit from the landowner is also required. This can be obtained from the tourist office in Mandal or Lindesnes Tele: 0047 38258068. Permits are also available in many stores along the river. The prices are low for really good salmon fishing. Other salmon rivers in the area are the Mandalselva and the Lyngna.
The Audna has seven fishing zones: Interesting Zone 1-3
Zone 1: From the mouth into the sea to Ystholen. The river flows calmly and offers dry fly opportunities for sea trout in the evening hours.
Zone 2: Ystholen to 150 m below Melhusfoss. Some nice sections for fly fishing. Especially recommended at medium or low tide when no fish pass Melhusfoss.
Zone 3: Melhusfoss. By far the best spot.Only a few day permits are issued and two landowners can also fish.

Boating license:
For guests born before 01.01.1980, no license for motorboats of this class is required in Norway. For younger persons, a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - liability of the hirer:
We recommend strict abstinence from alcohol on board.
The hirer is liable for damage caused by himself and also for all damage caused by other users of the boat. The use of the boat is at the hirer's and all other users own risk. The hirer shall inform his crew in good time that they may need to take out appropriate insurance against loss events themselves before the start of the trip. In addition, the skipper must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the terms of the contract and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on the trips.
If fish cleaning is to be carried out on the boat or on an appropriate filleting table on the jetty, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbour basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Restriction of area:
Voyages are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with the navigation rules may result in immediate termination of the tenancy by the lessor/owner. Claims of the tenant are therefore deemed forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The rental period of the boat is generally bound to the rental period of the booked object.
