Nestled between the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park and the Dona Ana/Organ Mountains, this 3 Br/3 Ba oasis provides a peaceful retreat just minutes from all the amenities of Las Cruces and the surrounding area. Hacienda Leon is close to all major employers, including local hospitals/clinics, Organ Mountain HS and elementary/middle schools, and White Sands MR just over the mountain top.
Enjoy the tranquility of working from home in any one of the three bedrooms, each equipped with its own workspace and access to 1 gig high-speed internet, or take your meeting in the privacy of the office set up with a monitor, printer, electric fireplace/fan, and whiteboard for your use. If you prefer, use the coffee/tea bar and head outdoors to any of the multiple guest spaces to be the envy of your conference/video call with the mountains in your background. The large pool beckons you to dive in, relax poolside, and bask in seclusion.
Inside, there are 2 living areas, each with their own TV so multiple guests can enjoy their favorite programming. The large central living area also has a gas fireplace that can be turned on and adjusted with the turn of a knob to provide warmth and a peaceful fire for your comfort - no wood needed! The separate living area boasts a large LG Smart TV with surround sound, a comfortable La-Z-Boy recliner, a library with games, and a futon that can be opened to accommodate a 7th guest. Sign into your streaming account to personalize your viewing experience. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and you can cook on a gas stove. There is a large pantry by the laundry for guest’s use and includes several small kitchen appliances. Enjoy your snacks or meals at the rustic kitchen table, on a stool at the kitchen bar, on a bar top table in the foyer, on a seat at the coffee/tea bar, or enjoy a formal meal in the dining room. The laundry room is fully available to guests and includes an iron/ironing board. The three full bathrooms are stocked with towels and essentials. The master bath has a jetted tub as well as a stand-up shower. The master also has two separate sinks for each guest’s use. The guest bath is accessible from the outside, so you can use it as you enjoy the pool and easily wash up after. The 3rd bathroom has a stand-up shower with multiple heads.
The prominent main bedroom has a 4-post king bed with a Sleep Number mattress. Either guest can set their side to their own preference (including head height and mattress stiffness), and includes a massage feature. This master bedroom has 2 large mirrored walk-in closets with shelves so guests can have ample room for their personal belongings. There is a separate door to privately access the outside living area and pool. In the second bedroom, there is a queen mattress with an adjustable base and a mirrored closet. The spacious third bedroom has two twin beds and also has its own mirrored walk-in closet with shelves. A linen closet is situated between these bedrooms with extra linens and storage. Multiple ceiling fans and two separate a/c units keep this home at a comfortable temperature.
Guest will be required to prepay a $250 security deposit for the stay. The deposit will not be applied towards the reservation fee and will be fully refunded within 10 days of departure, pending no damage to property or violation of policies. No parties or events, including filming, are allowed without the prior permission of the host. Reservations made under false pretenses or via 3rd parties are also not allowed. Furthermore, using the internet for illegal downloading or illegal use is prohibited. Any violation of these policies will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and immediate cancellation of the remainder of the rental contract without any reimbursement to guest. Additionally, this is a non-smoking property. Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside or outside the premises, and any smoking residue or paraphernalia found on the property will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Guests voluntarily accept all risks of personal injury, death, and any damage to property for themselves, family, and or any guests on the premises during their stay.
There is a security system with cameras monitored by Vivint. Your personal door and alarm code will be provided to you on the day of your arrival. The house alarm is preset to arm at 11 p.m. and disarm at 6 a.m. MST daily. The host can adjust these times via written request by the guest. Security cameras are set up on the premises, and all outdoor cameras can and will be monitored as necessary. However, the one indoor camera should be turned off during your stay by unplugging the device upon arrival. The Alexa unit has a cover that you can slide over the camera a well. Please slide back the cover on the Alexa camera and plug the security camera back in upon your departure to maintain the security of the property.
The city picks up trash every Monday morning, even on holidays. Please place appropriate trash bins out on Sunday evening by the curb and retrieve the bins when emptied by Monday evening. If checking out on a Sunday, please place all trash in the appropriate containers and set them at the curb before departure.
A max of 2 overnight travelers for no more than 2 consecutive nights during the same stay may be allowed. For additional travelers/nights, guest must request approval from the host in advance.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome and will require one additional $150 non-refundable deposit (applicable only for stays over 3 weeks to allow for deep cleaning) and $50 per stay/per pet. Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture at any time. A dog bed and bowls are available in the laundry room, and a pet gate is located between the laundry room and the kitchen. Please use this area at night and when leaving pets indoors when you leave the home. The host is not responsible for unsecured/unattended pets inside or outside the home, including the pool area. Gates are to remain closed when not in use to prevent the loss of your pet. Guest is responsible for any damages caused to the property by pets.
As the host still uses this property as a residence, some areas, including the garage, will be restricted and locked. Similarly, the kitchen pantry and hall closet are also locked, and a zip tie has secured some cabinets to prevent their opening. Please respect these areas.
