Create family memories camping in style in converted school bus! The Skoolie (bus) has everything you need: just pack clothes/food and come! Sleeps 2-3 adults and 2-3 kids comfortably: Queen Bed, Bunks, 2 Convertible Twins.
All the amenities you need to camp comfortably in style: electricity, hot water, heat/AC, full kitchen, indoor/outdoor dining, and half bathroom.
Take pictures and enjoy the stunning mountain views, firefly shows, campfire, kids playhouse, and clear starry skies.
Enter the bus through the double swinging doors and up the stairs. There you are greeted 38 feet of awesomeness. Quickly you will see the wood burning stove and lounging area - a bench with plush cushions and pillows to enjoy a morning coffee, evening drink, and lots of laughs.
On the right side of the bus you will find a fully-stocked kitchen with all the pots, pans, dishes, utensils, (and space) for anything you want to whip up. There's a huge sink, butcher block countertops, and enough cabinets to store everything securely out of site. An electric, two burner stove top is coupled with a 3-in-1 microwave/convection oven/air fryer.
A dining booth which seats 5 and work desk grace the left side of the bus. If a rain shower passes through during your visit, you'll still eat and play comfortably in this spacious area. At bed time, this space converts to sleep two kids or adventure-seeking adults.
Past the kitchen and family room you find a set of bunk beds the little kids with love, with night lights for bedtime stories.
In the middle of the bus you'll find a half bathroom with a composting toilet and single vanity sink with mirror. There is no shower on the Green Giant. Leaving this out created space for everything else!
At the back of the bus is the master bedroom with a Queen size bed and memory foam mattress. There are enough cubbies/cabinets in there to keep everyone's clothes out of the way, maximizing living space for everyone in the bus. The master bedroom and bunk beds have curtains on the windows for privacy.
The bus is air conditioned and heated by a mini-split (heat and air) in the bedroom, an AC unit at the front of the bus, and the heat from the wood stove for chilly fall and winter nights.
Outside the bus is a picnic table, Solo Stove firepit, and camp chairs. You will look out over a field of wild flowers and enjoy the mountain views, firefly shows and clear starry skies at night. Truly memorable.
A second Skoolie is ~50 feet away. A decent size shed in between the buses serves as a shared kids playhouse with a TV/DVD Player, Game Console with hundreds of old school video games, corn hole, art supplies, and board games. Owner's house is a few hundred yards away on an adjacent parcel.
Entrance to the Skoolie / camping area is at the intersection of Sleepy Hollow Road and Dark Hollow Road. Entrance is right across the street from Seaman's Orchard sign/entrance. Look for the "Skoolie Glamping" sign and the grey aluminum gate.

Skoolie is situated right across the street from Seaman's Orchard in Roseland Virginia. You are smack dab in the middle of hundreds of acres of orchards (open for Strawberry and Blueberry picking in the Spring/Early Summer) and pastures (yes, plenty of cows in site). There are another 7(!!) orchards within a 15 minute drive.
At least 8 wineries/breweries within 15 minutes (Lovingston Winery, Mountain Cove Winery, Devils Backbone Brewery, Blue Mountain Barrell House, Outback Brew House, Blue Toad Hard Cidery, Rebec Vineyards, Lazy Day Winery).
Lots of hiking nearby too: Appalachian Trail, Crabtree Falls, Fortunes Cove, Piney Ridge, etc.
Bus can be accessed by car on a gravel driveway. Lots of activities within a short drive. If you are going to visit the wineries and breweries and need a driver, we can refer one to you.
There are two Skoolies which share this lot. The buses are ~50 feet apart. They are generally rented together, but are occasionally rented separately. Dates showing as available on this listing have the possibility another small fun group glamping next door.
