Manitou Cove is a 4 season chalet located in the Manitou Bay of the Gatineau River WITH WIFI!! The retro-modern 3 bdrm + 2 bth chalet, is nestled into the hillside of a picturesque landscape overlooking the water. There are 2 patios with magnificent views of the hills and bay and a welcoming campfire site next to the beach.

There is a 25$/guest fee per night over 6 guests. This charge will be included in your quote.

We have a boat launch onsite; 3 kayaks, a canoe, and more included in the cost of the booking.

The space
Only 55 minutes from D.T. Ottawa, Manitou Cove is a 4 season waterfront chalet, located in the Manitou Bay of the Gatineau River, in Low Qc. With the best swimming and water temperature on the whole Gatineau river, you are sure to fall in love with this gem! The retro-modern chalet has a large and sheltered patio with a breathtaking view of the bay. A magnificent and welcoming staircase leads down to an incredible 30' dock where several boats are located for your enjoyment. Included in the chalet rental are; 2 adult kayaks, 1 kids kayak, 1 canoe, 2 vintage Laser sailboats (rigging upon request). We have a 9.9 hpw fishing boat for rent @ 50$/day plus gas (map of the river, life jackets and paddles incl.) Fishing gear possibly available upon request. There is a boat launch on the property for you convenience and lots of room to moor your boat at the dock and extra parking for your boat trailer. We supply 10-12 hardwood firewood logs per night booked. Marshmallows not included:) The cottage balcony is EVERYONE's favourite place to be in the summer. There is a beautiful patio ensemble with 6 chairs / cushions and a large table on the upper deck. There is a separate patio down below. (chairs can be blended for your socializing needs!) There is a BBQ available all year long. (Please clean the BBQ after each use.) Inside.... The upper level of the chalet is designed in open concept kitchen/dining/ living room with large windows overlooking the water. As well, on the upper level, is the master bathroom with a large relaxing soaker tub, 2 bedrooms with queen beds an accent chair and daybed for private lounging. Downstairs from the 'walkout' bedroom is direct access to the staircase leading to the bay, as well as the lower level private patio. There is a common den/rec-room are with a wood stove and 2 futon style couch/beds for extra sleeping accommodations. There is a small bathroom with a standup shower on this floor as well. The kitchen has all appliances, and is fully stocked with kitchenware including coffee maker, toaster, kettle, cutting boards, dishes, glassware/cookware, cutlery, pots and pans, roasting pans, cookie sheets, paper towels, tea towels and dish soap. Also the tap water is delicious and we prefer it over bottled water! There is a highchair and playpen available if needed. Mostly all rooms have ceiling fans! The bathrooms include liquid soap, toilet paper, and we provide bath towels. Please bring your own beach towels. All linens are provided for up to 6 guests! Please let us know if you would like to include more than 6 guests in your group, we are happy accommodate on a case by case basis. There is a laundry room and both washer and dryer are available. During the winter months, the cottage is heated by electric forced air and a wood stove (hardwood included). This will be an memorable opportunity for you to connect with family and friends and enjoy the natural world surrounding you. There is good cell connection for calls and data, and fast satellite wifi from Starlink. There are several board games provided fo rainy days! The chalet is perfectly located for day trips along the river; halfway between the towns of Low and Lac Ste Marie. We encourage guests to venture out of the bay and explore nearby islands and bays for hiking and fishing, or simply for the novelty of paddling up the river through the narrows to Lac Ste Marie, Qc!
