The large beautiful complex of Prainha is 2.5 km from the centre of Alvor, 4 km from the centre of Portimão, 200 m from the sea. The communal areas are beautiful with 8 ha of lawn and manicured gardens for both play and lovely walks along the cliff top. When you rent Casa Barlavento you get access to 3 more swimming pools- the famous Atlantic Pool with stunning views , the hotel pools with separate childrens pool and another swimming pool 2 mins from our house perfect for lengths and a splash pool for toddlers and babies . All have sun beds if a change of scene from the beach or garden are required plus restaurants (seasonal availability) . Also on the complex is football, racquetball and tennis (extra), children's playground, plus of course our own private swimming pool in the garden. Located in the Prainha complex in a secluded south facing corner is what makes our house unique. As we use the house ourselves we make sure it has everything a family could possibly need with access to cable Tv, and all the luxuries like unlimited wifi, comfy beds, 3 huge roll out luxury awnings and lots of comfy furniture inside and outside. No need to drive as three beaches are literally 5 mins walk away ( by private lift or walk) plus the famous Albir boardwalk which takes you all the way to the beautiful fishing village of Alvor with an abundance of restaurants - makes for a lovely morning walk along the beach!
