Nebida is a former mining village of Sulcis-Iglesiente, today a charming tourist resort on the southwest coast of Sardinia.
It is located 70 km from the regional capital Cagliari and about 14 km from the new provincial capital Iglesias (along with Carbonia) of which it is a fraction. Its particular position, nestled on the hills behind one of the most spectacular and ancient coasts of the Mediterranean, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, makes Nebida a real jewel from a landscape, historical and geological point of view.
The village is served by post office, pharmacy, bar, pizzerias, medical clinic, butchers, market and public transport. It counts about 1100 inhabitants who during the summer period double for the tourist presence that the charm of this beautiful seaside resort can attract so easily.
