This large suite features floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace, cozy kitchen & easy parking. There is a calm + relaxing vibe in the partially soundproofed suite with plenty of room to lounge plus the décor is welcoming & full of character.
This suite is minutes to the best coffee shops, cafés and restaurants that Maple Ridge has to offer. Many dykes, lakes & parks are nearby including Golden Ears. Downtown Vancouver is about a 45 min drive away and you can get to either Vancouver International Airport (YVR) or Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) in less than an hour.
THE SPACE
This large-but-charming suite is partially soundproofed and almost entirely renovated with laminate flooring throughout. Located on the main floor, the suite is naturally bright in the daytime. Full bathtub with shower, cozy kitchen with full-sized oven and fridge, large bedroom and grand living area with floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace (gas) and lots of windows. The small nook off of the living room is set up with a desk for any office work you may need to do.
LIVING ROOM: The windows of the living room look onto the front yard with magnolia tree, garden and other greenery. The oversized sectional is so comfy to curl up on and also contains a double hide-a-bed. We have a matching oversized chair and ottoman so you can put your feet up and watch tv, read a book or scroll through your phone.
Our guest limit is set to 4, but we realize that more than two kids can fit on the hide-a-bed. Send us a message if you have an extra guest and are wondering if we can accommodate them. Speaking of little kids, there is a bassinet/pack’n’play combo (and bedding for it) tucked away in the closet for our guests with small children. However keep in mind that the suite is not baby-proofed. Also available is a high chair and plastic children’s dishes/cutlery.
KITCHEN: The compact kitchen contains all of the essentials for cooking (pots, pans, spices, etc.) and has a Keurig, toaster, microwave and kettle. There will be some coffee pods, a variety of teas, and some sugar packets to get you started that will have you feeling right at home. The dining area has an extendable table with seating for 4. Grocery delivery is also available from Save-On Foods (West Maple Ridge).
BEDROOM: The bedroom has a memory foam queen-sized bed that gets rave reviews about how comfortable it is. The complete bedroom set also features two nightstands, dresser and armoire, so you can settle in like home. Extra pillows + bedding, luggage rack and laundry basket are available to use in the closet. Don't worry about being too hot or too cold either - we have a portable heater and fan available to use as well.
BATHROOM: Full sized tub and shower with plenty of towels, hand towels, wash cloths and makeup towels. Forgot something? We have a complimentary supply of mini essentials (deodorant, razors, lotions, etc.) and just ask you use what you need.
LAUNDRY: The laundry is shared and you are free to use it when you like, along with the laundry detergents that are available. We prefer to use wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets, but both are available (try out the dryer balls with a couple drops of the essential oils that are provided). If you forgot to bring an umbrella there are a few to choose from in the laundry room. There is also an iron + ironing board and clothes drying rack for your use. A garment steamer is available - please message us to use it and we will bring it down.
COVID-19 CLEANING & SANITIZATION: I follow a five-step enhanced cleaning process. Here are a few highlights:
- I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
- I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
- I refer to cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
- I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
- I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines
