Included with rental during warmer months is a golf cart for easy access to all property amenities. The townhome boasts gorgeous golf course & nature views which can be enjoyed from private screened-in porch. *You will receive a sample rental contract when booking. Due to an allergy, we are not able to allow pets at the home.
The townhouse at Abbey Springs has something for everyone! We offer flexible check-in and late departure if nobody is booked for the same day. Even if they are we invite you to come early and stick around the day of departure & enjoy the amenities with full-service country club style locker rooms.
Our townhome is recently remodeled, includes seasonal golf cart, contact-less check-in, Lake Geneva themed, fully furnished, clean (even ductwork!), & stocked with everything you'll need. The amenities are so much more than the local hotels, all within a short drive to Fontana or downtown Lake Geneva.
Abbey Springs is a 300-acre luxury 5 Star gated resort community on the south side of Geneva Lake. It provides private Geneva Lake Beach access & surrounds the recently updated 4.5-star Championship Golf Course. It's a member only community and as our guest, you'll be able to enjoy all the privileges. Geneva Lake is one of the largest (5400 acres), cleanest (spring fed), and filled with history (Gilded age mansions of Wrigley’s, Schwinn, etc). & just 90min from Chicago and Milwaukee.
Whether it’s a family vacation, friends’ getaway, staycation, golf trip, ski trip, or just relaxing in a private setting you will find it here. We have a private sandy beach with 250 feet of lake access, picnic area, charcoal grills, & gas fire-pits to relax as the sun sets. You can dine on property at the Yacht Club or Clubhouse restaurants, swimming options include the outdoor pool, zero-depth pool for the young ones, or the heated Olympic sized indoor pool. Relax in the large hot tub, sauna, play a round of golf, fish from the designated pond or fishing piers, work out in the recently renovated fitness center, play racquet ball, 4 har-tru tennis courts, 3 pickle ball courts, bocce ball, volleyball, basketball, kids’ playground, or enjoy the arcade and games at the clubhouse, all within this amazing community. All are included, except golf which has a separate green fee you can book on Abbey Springs website.
The home is professionally decorated for the nautical lifestyle of Lake Geneva. We use this home ourselves and you will feel the personal touch. You enter with keyless entry, and we offer our electric golf cart (with signed liability waiver) during warmer months to make getting around fun and easy. What’s unique about this property is it’s only connected to one other townhome & you will not be carrying groceries, doing laundry, or grilling upstairs! From the 1st floor you will have views of the golf course (set back from the course) and the gorgeous rolling terrain of SE Wisconsin. Kids love the morning or evening visits from deer and other wildlife.
The 1st floor living room has a new couch, love seat, gas fireplace, & large smart TV (no cable you will need to log-in for Netflix, YouTube TV, etc.) Our fully stocked kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, kids’ dishware, grilling utensils, Keurig, toaster, blender, wine glasses, dishwasher, etc to allow you to vacation in comfort. The dining table has seating for 4 plus three stools at the breakfast bar. The large screened in porch has seating for 6 & custom lighting for ambiance. You can enjoy your morning coffee or evening beverage in comfort without bug spray. The deck has a new Weber grill, outdoor furniture, & yard games.
When it comes to sleeping, we have you covered with our first-floor large primary bedroom & a brand-new incredibly comfortable king size bed with private bath entrance. The 2nd bedroom has new full over full bunk beds with a dresser full of games & kid’s toys. Sleep in with the new black-out blinds for these 2 bedrooms. On the 2nd floor loft, you'll find another new king bed & 2nd full bathroom with large sit-down shower. The loft living room has a couch, coffee table, & 65” smart TV.
You will be comfortable with our brand-new HVAC & nest thermostat. We also provide additional fans, beach towels, cooler, picnic backpack, & 2 Tommy Bahama chairs. If you are traveling with young kids, we have a pack and play, kids’ games and toys, kid dishware, & a highchair ready for your stay. Our LG washer & dryer are brand new & will make turning over clothes a breeze for a longer trip or packing light. In total, the home sleeps 6 people comfortably in the three bedrooms.
The location of this townhome gives you options to walk, drive, or use the golf cart. Our home is just a short walk (0.3mi) with minimal elevation on duck pond road to the Clubhouse, Pool, Golf Course, Golf and Tennis pro shops, & Rec Center. Or jump in the golf cart for a short ride to the beach, playground, outdoor gas firepit, basketball, yacht club bar and restaurant, & more.
To access the lake, there is a walkway or take the golf cart through the tunnel under Lakeshore Drive to the lakefront beach, so you won't have to worry about crossing the street. You will arrive to a private sandy beach with a jumping pier, sand climbing hill, playground, grills and picnic tables, sand volleyball, basketball, and fishing. Grab our cooler and picnic backpack and load up on food and drinks for the day. A unique thing about Lake Geneva is the shore path all around the lake. You can access 26mile trail from the Abbey Springs beach. You will walk along Geneva Lake and see the Gilded age mansions (Wrigley’s, Schwinn, etc) that line it.
The Yacht Club is a fine dining experience overlooking the lake. Please reach out to me or call the number on the abbey springs website to make a reservation. Without a reservation it’s tough to get a table. Be sure to not miss the classical Wisconsin Friday night fish fry or Saturday night Prime Rib. Watch the sunset from your table enjoying a memorable meal or grab a drink from the Yacht Club bar and sit by the outdoor fire pits. They offer live entertainment on most weekends in the summer. There's an additional restaurant & bar, the Clubhouse, overlooking golf course and outdoor pool, with breakfast, lunch, ice cream, make your own bloody Mary & coffee bar. They also serve casual dinners including some buffets on select Friday and Saturdays in the summer months. The restaurants are for members and guests only.
The top-rated (4.5 star) golf course provides challenges for advanced players, yet beginners can still approach the course with confidence. The course was recently remodeled and has short driving range, putting green, & GPS enabled golf carts. Abbey Springs Golf Course's signature hole is the par 4, 17th hole, which offers the best view on the course. This hole plays from an elevated tee that overlooks Lake Geneva.
The home is located 5 minutes from downtown Fontana and ~15 minutes from downtown Lake Geneva. In Fontana you can enjoy the public beach, rent a boat or pontoon, or eat at a few restaurants such as Chuck's Lakeshore Inn & Gordy's Bar & Grill. Downtown Lake Geneva is home to wonderful restaurants and shopping.
Lake Geneva area has year-round activities to keep our guests busy all year. Winter is a great time to visit, as we are located near two ski hills, with ice fishing on the lake, great cross-country skiing, ice skating and sledding nearby. When we have enough snow, you can even sled on the 17th hole of the golf course. The US National Snow Sculpting competition comes each January or February and for the past two winters, we have been home to the Ice Castles, which are 40 feet tall interactive masterpieces that include slides, fountains, look out towers, and with led lights that move to the music.
Autumn is a beautiful time, as well, with gorgeous foliage throughout the area including breathtaking views across the lake. There are also orchards for apple picking and many fall and Halloween events to enjoy. Spring, too, is a great time. With the ice gone, the lake comes back to life! There is a strawberry and blueberry farm for picking nearby and plenty of other fun seasonal things to do and see.
Abbey Springs charges daily guest fee passes to use amenities & THEY ARE ALREADY INCLUDED IN YOUR NIGHTLY RATE. The pass prices are based on length of stay, time of year, and are included in the fees section and/or total reservation cost. These fees are charged on the day of check in and check out. Abbey Springs HOA no longer allows guests beyond the maximum capacity which in this case is 6. We encourage you to use the amenities on arrival and departure and makes the most of your time away.
