Downstairs the open-plan living area connects you to the ocean with vast wrap around sea-facing windows. Cosy up by the log fire while the wind whips up a frenzy on the beach and, on balmy days, throw open the kitchen doors to let the sea breeze wash through the house. If there's one home-made meal to enjoy when not dining in one of the nearby acclaimed restaurants, make it the fisherman's daily catch with a side of local samphire from nearby Pegwell Bay. On long, lazy afternoons, a cosy nook in the corner of the lounge provides the perfect spot for reading a book as you listen to the waves on the shore below.
