Guests will have the entire home and fenced-in backyard to themselves. Casa 29 is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in 29 Palms. While we have a fully fenced backyard and the home offers privacy, we have neighbors in close proximity.
Quiet neighborhood with views of the valley, just minutes to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. Completely open lot just below Casa 29 which makes for great privacy.
Wide, paved streets around the whole neighborhood. Room for street parking and two cars in the driveway.
Although the California desert is generally a dry environment, heavier rainy seasons may bring about more abundant than usual wildlife. This includes cute little native inhabitants such as hummingbirds, quail, road runners, jack rabbits, and as well as coyotes, insects, spiders, lizards, snakes, scorpions, and moths. As such, we advise to keep all non-screened windows and doors closed. We do not recommend walking barefoot outside.
If you have a low profile car, please be sure to pull in the driveway at an angle due to the steep grade of the driveway entrance.
For security purposes, there are security cameras monitoring the front entry door and driveway. The cameras record upon motion. The cameras do not record or capture any outdoor amenity spaces or interior living areas.
THERMOSTAT:
Due to our current efforts on energy conservation, the thermostat will be locked at 72 or 74 degrees and cannot be changed.

Although rare, accidental damage from guests can happen — we understand that this is usually unintentional. This is why our bookings include a non-refundable damage waiver of $29. With this waiver, unless it’s specifically excluded, all accidental damage from a guest is covered up to $300; damages deemed intentional or by negligence will not be covered by the damage waiver and will be the sole responsibility of the guest.
1. General Conduct
- Respect the Neighbors: Please keep noise to a minimum, especially between 10 PM and 9 AM. We have a noise monitoring device that measures noise levels without recording conversations.
- No Parties or Events: Parties or large gatherings are not allowed without prior written approval.
- Guest Limit: Only the number of guests stated in your reservation is allowed to stay overnight at the property.
- Remove Shoes Indoors: Please remove your shoes inside the property to maintain cleanliness.
2. Property Care
- No Smoking Indoors: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. Smoking is permitted outdoors at least 20 feet from the cabin. A fine of $300 will be applied if the guest is found in violation of this policy.
Pet Policy:
- No Cats Allowed: Please note that we do not cater cats in the property.
- No Unattended Pets: Do not leave dogs unattended in the cabin. Guests who leave pets unattended will be fined $300.
- Leash Requirement: Dogs must be leashed at all times to avoid disturbing neighbors and wildlife. Complaints may lead to eviction and forfeiture of remaining nights.
- Cleanliness: Please leave the property in the same condition as you found it. Dispose of trash in the designated bins.
- Report Issues: Immediately report any damages or issues to the host.
We can also accommodate early check-ins whenever the property is ready and no issues are present. We update our guests on any possibility of an earlier check-in!
