Casa Scirocco Glicine is the original about 100 years old cottage which is situated in a large Mediterranean garden - restored in the typical Eolian style to a very high standard - comfortable for 2 to 4 persons. There is a spacious bathroom. The large terrace is overgrown with wisteria and bougainvillea. The gardens contain a variety of typical plants and there are a lot of superb panoramic views. Just the proprietor's cottage and Casa Scirocco Limone are sharing this large propriety. The cottages are individual and completely separate from each other. The next road is a very quiet one which ends at the monastry of Pirrera. There is a private road to the cottage. Canneto beach and the historic town centre of Lipari are about 2 miles away. Bus transfer 3 times a day. Walking about 30 minutes. Cars, scooters etc. can be rented at Lipari or Canneto. We can recommend very much to rent a scooter. There is a private parking space.
Surrounded by large Mediterranean gardens the 2 cottages of casa Scirocco have been restored in the typical Eolian style to a very high standard. The large terrace of the very traditional Casa Glicine is overgrown with wisteria. Casa Limone pleases with a fantastic roof terrace. The gardens contain a variety of typical plants and there are a lot of superb panoramic views. Just the proprietor's cottage is sharing this large property. All the cottages are individual and completely separate from each other. The next road is a very quiet one which ends at the monastery 'Pirrera'. There is a private road to the cottages. Canneto beach and the historic town centre of Lipari are about 2 miles away. Bus transfer 3 times a day. Walking about 30 minutes. Cars, scooters etc. can be rented at Lipari or Canneto, special offers (optional): 'bring and pick up service' as agreed. Guided tours to all the islands by the proprietor (specially trained guide). There are private parking spaces.

Except the month of August you don't find mass-tourism. Lipari Island has got about 8000 inhabitants and Lipari town is of course always the lively and cultural heart of all the islands.
But there is still the quiet and nearly unsettled Lipari where you can feel united with nature. The hot thermal water and the steaming fumaroles let you know the special ambience.
