Living/ Dining Area
This open concept space is perfect for family game night, curling up with a nice book or sitting by the indoor gas fireplace watching your favourite movie! We also have several board games and cards located in the tv stand.
Disney+ and Prime Video are available. Netflix and YouTube app downloaded and ready for you to sign in! HDMI port is accessible and screencast compatible.
Smart speaker Alexa is located beside the tv and is ready to answer all your questions and provide local weather updates.
This room includes a mini fridge for any extra food (or beverage!) storage.
Wifi/ Work Area
We do have a designated office space with a multiple plug in bar. You will be provided the wifi password at check-in and work in a space that provides beautiful forest views.
Kitchen
We provide all the necessary kitchen tools and essentials like pots/pans, serving dishes, cutlery and drinking glasses, we have a full-size gas stove/oven, microwave and fridge.
For coffee lovers, the kitchen is equipped with two coffee makers, a single K-Cup, 10 coffee maker and kettle. Additionally, pre-ground coffee, filter, sugar, sweetener, verities of teas regular and decaf coffee pods are provided.
Primary Suite
Our primary is our favourite spot in the entire home! This room offers a comfy queen-size bed, plenty of storage for personal items and a large dressing mirror.
The Upstairs
There are 3 beds in tow rooms located upstairs. Please be careful when go un and down the stairs as the stairs are very stiff. One room has a double and single beds, with a 32 inch tv. 2nd room has a single bed and lots of toys and books. We have a variety of children's toys and books.***
The Guest Suite
Located on the main of the home, this room has a large bright window with gorgeous view, comfy queen-size bed.
Plenty of storage in the dresser for unpacking during your stay.

This GORGEOUS outdoor living space offers unobstructed forest views and provides private bridge to the forest.
It’s completed with a three Tiered deck, BBQ, dining set/umbrella and additional patio furniture.
The backyard includes a fire pit and large yard to play your favourite outdoor games. Our favourite is badminton and will be available during your stay!
In the deck box, we have several children’s toys like hula hoops and sand buckets.
No need to bring your own firewood. We do have long sticks for s’mores!
In the front of the property, you will have eight parking spaces, two chairs and a mini table and large open tent. Enjoy a quiet cup of coffee while listening to the relaxing sounds of the local birds.
Please note: Cottage in the City uses a septic system for waste management.
Please note: This property uses a septic tank for waste management. Only toilet paper and human waste can be flushed down the toilet. A trash bin is provided for feminine hygiene products, wipes, etc.
Correct number of guests must be on the reservation. No additional guests are allowed on the property without written consent from the host or additional fees may apply.
Chilled drinking water is provided during your stay via water Brita water jug located in the fridge.
BBQ runs on propane. (a full tank of propane provided at no extra charge )
Water levels and conditions of the creek vary throughout the year, water shoes are recommended if you go for a walk in the forest.
Bugs can be expected seasonally.
A seasonal Darlington Provincial Park parking permit is provided April 1st to November 30th. Online reservations are required to guarantee parking availability. (sorry no pass this year 2023)
All pets must be disclosed in the reservation or additional fees may apply.
In winter months, we leave a shovel out if needed and have salt. The Driveway is typically plowed within 24 hours of the storm.
