You'll feel right at home in this spacious 1-bedroom suite bathed in natural light. Newly renovated in October 2019, the space comes fully-furnished and equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, modern appliances, and top-quality linen, which are washed upon every check-out and changed frequently. All the furniture has been carefully selected to provide you with maximum comfort and ease throughout your stay.
The bedroom is fully-furnished with a Queen sized bed and large sliding windows that lead to an outside patio.
The unit also comes with a full kitchen with all the essential cooking amenities - pots & pans, cutlery & dishes, electric kettle, coffee maker, along with cooking basics. New appliances include stove & oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer dryer. Enjoy a quick meal on the island bar or a full meal on the modern glass table.
A cosy fabric full-sized sofabed (which sleeps 2 comfortably) anchors the living room, which is equipped with a large SMART TV, and the unlimited WiFi allows you to access your online entertainment choices as you please.
My unit is managed by a 24/7 property management firm! So I am lucky to have a strong staff of handy men and cleaners that can help with any minor issues you might have. I also live across the street, so I am always available to help or answer any questions!
The Neighborhood:
The neighbourhood of Cabbagetown is a charming and well-preserved enclave of stately Victorian homes with many beautiful mature trees lining the boulevards. The main street in this area is Parliament Street, which is extremely dynamic and has a wonderful mix of cafés, pubs and restaurants serving up cuisines from all over the world (Website hidden by Airbnb) A 15-minute walk west brings you to Eaton Centre and the downtown core, while a 15-minute walk east brings you to Riverdale Park, and the Don River Valley with its cycling and walking paths that lead, amongst other places, to the Evergreen Brick Works, a cultural and culinary icon in the city. The neighbourhood also has a distinctive cultural and bohemian vibe. Not only can you watch some amazing artists play live concerts at the Phoenix theatre (a couple of blocks away), it’s also a full-out entertainment compound with three distinct environments, perfect for events and dancing to the city’s hottest entertainers. With an amazing sound room and great acoustics, the Main Room has one of the largest dance floors in the city and 5 bars, but you’ll still feel like you’re up close and personal when your favourite band plays.
Getting Around:
WALKING - The downtown core is within walking distance, and Dundas Square is approximately a 15-min walk from the property STREETCAR/TRAM - There are 2 lines right around the block - the 505 Dundas and 506 Carlton. Both will take you into the heart of the city and connect you to the rest of the TTC transit system. SUBWAY - Closest station is Dundas Station, on the Yonge-University Line (Yellow). It is a 15-min walk to the station, or you could take the westbound 505 Dundas Streetcar which will take you to the station in about 6 mins. The other station is Broadview Station, which is on the Bloor-Danforth line (Green) and the eastbound 505 Dundas Streetcar will take you there in 15 mins. In addition, College Station (the yellow Yonge-University line) is a 16-min walk away. TAXI - Easy to get around the City in Taxis or using Uber rides
