Welcome to our little slice of heaven! Our family home is set back from the road and surrounded by trees in a quiet and peaceful family neighbourhood only 20 minutes outside of downtown Halifax. Not only are we close to lakes, trails (one is right across the road!), and multiple parks and playgrounds, but our large private backyard hosts a heated, in-ground, saltwater pool! With its spacious living space and serene backyard, this is a vacation home you won't want to leave!
The House
You'll enter the large circular driveway and go up a flight of stairs to the back door where you'll land on a small patio overlooking the large inground pool and deck. On the deck, you'll have access to the BBQ, outdoor dining table, plenty of patio furniture under a shady canopy, and hammock. The heated pool comes equipped with new floaties, and pool towels provided.
Enter the house through the mudroom and into the bright and spacious kitchen. Here you'll find all cooking and baking essentials to make you feel right at home! The breakfast nook overlooking the pool can expand to seat eight to ten people. Off the kitchen toward the front of the house is a separate dining room (not pictured) with another table large enough to seat eight to ten people. The large kitchen also overlooks the backyard and is open to the family room, where a small collection of kids toys and books are provided, so you're never far from the fun.
There are two inviting living rooms, separated by a glass pocket door for added privacy if additional sleeping space is needed. These rooms are flooded with natural light and only trees can be seen from all of the large windows. The family room couch pulls out into a double bed, and we provide an inflatable queen mattress which fits comfortably in the second living room. You're welcome to use your Netflix, Crave, Prime TV or Disney+ accounts on the TV, but please do not use the fireplace.
Upstairs you'll find three spacious bedrooms all with new bedding and pillows. The primary bedroom hosts a king size bed and large built-ins. The second bedroom has a queen bed and built-in closet with hangers and plenty of drawers. The third bedroom has a double bed, and same built-in closet. Completing this level is a bathroom with two marble-top vanities, toilet, large walk-in shower and deep standalone bathtub. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and brand new towels are provided.
The Neighbourhood
We're located just 25 minutes from downtown Halifax and 30 minutes from Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Within our quiet family-friendly neighbourhood, you'll find multiple playgrounds, parks, lakes, and trails. In the nearby plaza, you'll find a grocery store, liquor store, gas stations, restaurants, hardware store, Dollarama, and other businesses and services. We're a scenic 30kms from Peggy's Cove and 20kms from the renowned Queensland Beach in Hubbards. Centrally located, there's something to do in any direction!

1) As this is our family home, guests will NOT have access to:
- Garage
- Basement, including utility room
- Walk-in closet off primary bedroom
- Fireplace in living room
2) Pool maintenance, provided by us, may be required during your stay to ensure the pool remains as enjoyable as possible! We will provide plenty of notice and respect your privacy, always.
