This beautiful log cabin features two bedrooms, a master room upstairs, with a queen bed and its own bathroom, a bedroom on the first floor that has two full-size beds. There is also a loft that has a queen size sofa-sleeper, TV, and dedicated workspace, with reliable high-speed Internet, along with lake access. This wonderful house has all of the features you’d expect of a cabin.
The space:
The cabin is situated on the beautiful Lake Swannanoa, providing guests with a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With its peaceful surroundings and picturesque views, this cabin is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and reconnect with nature. Whether you're fishing on the lake, taking a kayak adrift across the water, or simply enjoying the view from the comfort of the cabin, Lake Swannanoa is sure to provide an unforgettable experience for all who visit.
The home features two bedrooms, a loft and a spacious interior with separate living and dining areas. The living room has a cozy wood fireplace for guests to enjoy. The master bedroom on the second floor overlooks the lake, it has a queen size bed, with multiple pillows and duvet for your comfort. It also has a private bathroom, an area for your luggage and clothing along with a power strip with USB and USB C ports and an AC unit.
The first-floor bedroom has two full-size beds with all the pillows and blankets you could ever want, including a cute walk-in closet along with a power strip with USB and USB C ports.
The loft also overlooks the lake. It has a firm couch that doubles as a queen size bed, allowing two to sleep comfortably, and of course, all of the bedding comforts provided in the other two rooms are found within the credenza beneath the TV. The area includes an internet connected TV with Bluetooth speakers and a comfy dedicate workspace, which includes a monitor.
The kitchen has all of the amenities you would expect, including a toaster oven, microwave, percolating coffee maker, place settings for eight and stainless-steel cookware, and island.
You can access the lake through the side yard gate or through the basement door. When you arrive at the lakefront you be able to use 3 Kayaks, the life vest and paddles can be found in the basement or just outside the basement door.
Please keep in mind that the house is a log cabin built over 70 years ago, although the maintenance has been kept up, there are areas that are more than rustic, which in my view adds to the appeal and I hope you feel the same.
Also, the upstairs bathroom happens to have the world's smallest shower, I was surprised, and I'm not sure what it's all about, so if you like a normal amount of space when you shower, the upstairs shower might not be for you, however a nice bath in the bear claw tub on the first floor is pleasing.
The listing has a two-night minimum stay, however if you're in a pinch and your visit is within a week or so let me know and lets see if we can sort it out.
Guest access:
You'll have access to the entire home, although you probably won't want to spend time in the basement as its not finished yet. The basements back door provides quick access to the path that takes you to the lake.

Also, this cabin has a septic tank, which means that only human debris and septic tank acceptable paper products can be flushed down the toilet. Please keep this in mind as you are responsible for septic tank backups or disruptions due to flushing non-septic approved paper products or items down the toilet. You will be responsible for any remediation to clear up backups or disruptions. However, the cabin will have approved toilet paper.
The same idea is true for not allowing food debris down the kitchen sink, so please use the drain catch to trap food debris from going down the drain and throw out the food debris into the garbage. This is also true for cooking oil or grease from cooking, they should not be put down the kitchen drain, wait for the grease to cool then collect with a paper towel and put into the garbage.
