Podere di Pomaio has a unique position on an hill approximately at 500m above sea level it overlooks the valley below and it is surrounded by amazing landscapes, green hills and the charming etruscan town of Arezzo is just down hill. It is inside the Chianti area, on the extreme border.
Arezzo is just 5 minutes away from the villa. A lovely Medieval town with etruscan origins with plenty of historical and cultural sites to visit, night life is very busy thanks to many excellent restaurants proposing typical Tuscan dishes. Shopping in Arezzo is a unique experience, in Corso Italia bvd there are some of Italy’s most stylish shops. Arezzo is also known as the city of gold thanks to its many gold and jewels handcrafters and thanks to an amazing antique fair that takes place once a month.
The villa is a strategic setting as a base for exploring the region of Tuscany and other towns such as Cortona, Florence, Siena and Montalcino for example, all within easy reach (less than an hour). It forms part of an agricultural estate and is therefore surrounded by forest, farmland and vineyards.The farm company is well known as an example of excellence and green effort being one of Tuscany’s most sustainable organic wine companies. Many products such as Organic Wines, Organic ExtraVirgin and Olive oil are directly produced by Podere di Pomaio. There is also a tasting toom opened every day from Monday to Saturday, and for special events regarding the promotion of Pomaio’s products and green culture. It is possible for the guest s to ask for private dinners, wine taste and tour and cooking classes. There is a particularly pleasant patio terrace from where guests can admire the landscape while enjoying their meals and activities.
The beautiful surroundings are immaculately maintained and have plenty of private seating areas as well as a lovely large heated swimming pool, with a gazebo and all the equipment to enjoy the sun and relax, wherever you turn your eyes you will just see nature, a quiet paradise indeed. The estate is over 23 hectares, the entire surface is fenced in order to avoid hunting activity and to really guarantee an absolute level of privacy.

This quintessential Tuscan villa is designed with four overlapping arches in twos and is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a private pool facing a breathtaking view. The villa was built in the late 1800s probably over a ruin of which today any information has been lost. The recent renovation that took place in the villa has followed the stricter sustainability principles complying with this estate style that made Podere di Pomaio/Pomaio • Green Winery famous in the design and wine world.
The facade of the villa presents 4 overlapping arches in twos according to the typical 1700s design from the architects of the Gran duke Leopold of Loraine. The house is located on the hill and does not present the typical Colombaia roof as the others. The private garden and the pool, with their exquisite view, are accessible from both floors. The panorama from the first floor, where the woodstove is even more impressive.
The finishing touches of the villa are elegant. The ambience is refined and comfortable and every detail, no matter how small, was handled with care. The villa is environmentally friendly due to its 1st class energy saving rank. This was possible due to the high quality renovation from which guests year round will also benefit.
The living areas are spacious and comfortable. Each floor has its own living room, kitchen, dining room and three bedrooms with private bathrooms. The first floor can be reached externally through the original stone stairs or a stone bridge linking the garden and the pool (the entire path is accessible for wheelchairs); moreover one bedroom located on the first floor is accessible for wheelchairs.
The villa includes all the equipment necessary to enjoy your stay. The kitchens are fully equipped, also including a washing machine and drying machine. Each floor of the villa is completely furnished and has WI-FI, air conditioning, and satellite TV.
The furnishing has excellent finishing and each ambience is studied thoroughly to achieve greater ease of use without losing the authentic taste of the Tuscan country houses. A big fireplace gives a romantic and elegant touch to the main dining room. Under the loggia at the ground floor, next to the garden, there is a large dining table.
