Summary: We arrived in the evening later than we anticipated, but the ladies that take care of the house were still there to warmly welcome us with the most delicious margaritas. They had prepared an incredible supper of fajitas and bacon-wrapped jalapeños, which they stayed to serve us then cleaned up afterwards. Karla's cooking is amazing! Even our picky 19-year old nephew ate everything she prepared. The guacamole was the best we had ever eaten; in fact, we requested that she make it every day. Her flan was amazing, too. Those are just some of the highlights. We were there 10 days and did not bother to go out for a single meal because we could not imagine food any better than what was prepared for us. Besides the amazing food, there was the incredible service provided by Karla, Eva, and Emma. In addition to cooking and cleaning, there was laundry service - you put your dirty clothes in a "magic" basket, and the next day they appeared laundered and neatly folded. There was nothing to get in the way of pure relaxation. Then there is the view...words cannot describe it. The sunrises were like a painting or something you see in a book. I woke up before dawn every day and sat in the living room to take pictures as the sun rose. I am by no means a professional - and I was just using my phone - but I could not take a bad picture. The open-air living/dining area with the high ceiling allows for incredible views from every corner. The neighborhood of La Punta is full of beautiful houses (although few have the breathtaking view that Castillo la Princesa has) and is immaculately maintained. The security is also top-notch as the entrance is manned 24/7 by several people who check the identification of every person going in and keep track of everyone that leaves. Finally, the booking process was wonderfully easy. The owner answered my MANY questions in the months leading up to our stay and provided all the information we could need while we were there, including a car service contact (which we used during our entire stay), a boat tour operator (whose tour we enjoyed tremendously), and the contact information for the house manager (with whom we met only once because Karla managed everything so well). We definitely plan to return!
