Those who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can hike along the 150 km of winter hiking trails in the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever, while those who prefer an overview can enjoy breathtaking views on the panoramic hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl. Location description: La Punt Chamues-ch - The proud The old patricians already knew why they built their stately homes here: La Punt is strategically located at the foot of the former trade route over the Albula Pass. The former farming village of Chamues-ch, on the other hand, is sheltered at the entrance to the mysterious Chamois Valley, the Val Chamuera. Even today, people here are proud of the richly decorated farmhouses and stately patrician houses from the 16th and 17th centuries: the Chesa Merleda with its bright white battlements, the Albertini houses with their richly decorated façades or the imposing Chesa "Sandoz". And, of course, the top gastronomy in the over 450-year-old Gasthaus Krone or in the famous Chesa Pirani with its two Michelin stars. Picturesque and sun-kissed, the village stretches between wild peaks and fragrant mountain pine forests along the young Inn river across the Engadin valley floor.
