This expansive 2.8-acre property, lined with old-growth cedar trees along a gated driveway, combines the elegance of a French country chateau with the charm of old Tahoe.
As you step beyond the double arched doors of the 5-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom main house, spanning approximately 7,200 square feet, you'll be dazzled by soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase spectacular views of the lake, and impeccable architectural details, including a gas fireplace with an impressive two-story mantel. The immaculate chef's kitchen with granite countertops and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances (including a double oven with a 6-burner gas stove and built-in griddle) opens to a charming lounge area with a gas fireplace and wall of windows, providing a welcoming space to enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe, whether inside or on the expansive stone patio.
The main floor hosts a magnificent entertaining area and the primary suite wing, complete with a library/office, sitting area, two custom-built closets, and a spa-like bath retreat with a sumptuous stand-alone jetted tub. French doors from the primary suite lead to a patio with spectacular lake views and a private hot tub for your relaxation. The upstairs level is home to three guest bedrooms, all ensuites, and a bonus room that can be utilized as an additional sleeping space.

ABOUT THE AREA
Conveniently located two miles south of Tahoe City, you'll find the quintessential Tahoe neighborhood of Sunnyside. This heavily wooded section on Lake Tahoe's west shore features old Tahoe-style homes and classic cabins. Homes in this neighborhood are all centrally located between Homewood and Tahoe City.
Just down the road you'll find Sunnyside Resort and Marina and William Kent Shoreline. William Kent Beach is situated in a wooded setting and offers picnic tables and grills with views across Lake Tahoe of the eastern shoreline. Next door, Sunnyside Resort is a favorite year-round lakeside dining option.
During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort or travel just twenty minutes to Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.
POLICIES AND DISCLOSURES:
1. Maximum Day Time & Night Time Occupancy is 12, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age.
2. Parking for 6 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. Boaters must provide their own mooring lines. Tahoe Getaways cannot provide watercraft of any kind; guests must provide their own means of transport from the pier to the buoy. Depending on the water level, the pier may be too shallow to navigate for some boats.
4. Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.
5. The pool is heated but only available during the summer months. Inquire for more info.
HOST FEE DETAILS:
Damage Waiver Fee – is collected in lieu of a Security Deposit. Protects you against a maximum of $3000 of unintentional damages at the rental unit, provided that damage is disclosed to Tahoe Getaways prior to check-out.
