Welcome to Otter Point House, a one of a kind residence built adjacent to a rocky headland overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Otter Point House sits on over an acre of land with an expansive view of the coastline, the straight of Juan de Fuca, and the snow-capped U.S. Olympic Mountain Range.
While living at Otter Point House, you will have a front row seat to the majesty of the west coast. From many viewpoints throughout the house you can see abundant marine life, tranquil sunrises, moonlit waters, and enjoy exhilarating storm watching. Enjoy watching bald eagles perch on the nearly 700 year old Douglas fir trees situated on the property, or watch a pod of Orcas swim by while a seal lies on the nearby rocks.
The Otter Point House is beautifully landscaped in the tradition of the west coast, has direct ocean access via the back of the property, and an enchanting beach cove for your personal enjoyment, as well as private path through old growth rainforest leading to the nearby Otter Point Regional Park.
The House
Inside the home you will find 4,500 square feet of living space across 3 levels for your comfort and convenience. The top floor includes the master bedroom with a private balcony and a large ensuite bathroom and soaker tub. This floor also features two more bedrooms and a second full bathroom, and a library seating area.
The best place to take in the wonder of the surrounding coast-line is the living room on the main floor. Here you can sink into a large wrap around leather couch and gaze through floor to ceiling windows, mesmerized by the many sights of the ocean, from passing ferries, to abundant marine life, and the distant coastal mountains. The kitchen is a chef’s delight, with a 6 burner gas range and granite countertops. Fully appointed with everything you will need to cook beautifully, including a napoleon BBQ on the patio adjoining the kitchen. There are two dining areas and television room with a pull-out couch. The main floor also has a full bathroom, a laundry room and access to the garage (parking for one with room for 4 more outside). Step outside and discover the wrap around balcony that offers expansive ocean views. Bask in the fresh west coast air and enjoy a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening.
The walk-out basement offers more convenience with a bedroom, full bath, living room, a second laundry room, a quiet work area, and a separate kitchenette. Walk out the back door and discover the zen-like gardens and beautiful landscaping on the property. At the far west side you will find a staircase leading to a private cove, surrounding by beautiful, rugged nature. Here the kids can collect rocks or wade in the ocean and catch starfish, and adults can relax and enjoy the rare beauty of this special place. Alternatively, you can also walk out the back side of the property along the patio stairwell towards the weathered rocks, a pristine place to sit and watch the sunset or fish for salmon.
The home is perfect for large groups, providing numerous gathering points to come together, and several quiet spots to get away and spend some quiet time recharging or just roaming the house enjoying the many pieces of original art and décor.
