~ Community ~
This home is a VERY short walk, 350 feet or 3 minutes, to the two private gated entrances to the uncrowded Frangista Beach. It is also only 30 feet from the back yard to the community pool lounge chairs and pool waterfall. What more convenience could you want than watching your family swim, laugh and enjoy their vacation in the large beautiful community pool while you sit on the screened back porch and relax? Even better… the pool is seasonally heated. “As Good As It Gets” offers a front covered porch, rear screened porch and a lush landscaped yard with picket fence. This is a very clean luxury cottage that we know you will love!
~ Gathering Area ~
“As Good As It Gets” is a perfect '10' cottage and now it is even better as recent remodels include a new high end luxury kitchen, a new master bathroom and new bedroom decor. Everything is freshly painted and the owner has added beautiful new driftwood tile flooring to accent the spacious 11' ceilings. The owner is an interior kitchen and bath designer and has left nothing unattended. You will be pleasantly surprised by her tasteful vintage Parisian decor. The gathering room is magazine picturesque French cottage countryside with it's slip-covered furniture, original oil works and eclectic touches.
The open concept kitchen area being recent remodeled by the designer and owner herself, “As Good As It Gets” boast breathtaking and room brightening white ice quartz countertops and island tops with bar seating for five. A serene and tranquil blue artisan backsplash adorns the kitchen walls offsetting the custom lit cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and distressed oil rubbed pendant and island lighting. The kitchen is fully equipped so if you prefer to don your apron instead of waiting in line at a restaurant, everything you need is at your fingertips. Specialty appliances include a new LG induction range, new Bosch dishwasher, new Bosch side by side fridge with ice and water in the door and refrigerated filtered water at the sink. The table in the gathering area is distressed in a bold red finish and seats three to four. The gathering room features a queen sofa sleeper, a large flat screen TV with surround sound and a DVD player for all of your evenings in after a long day at the beach.
~ Bedrooms ~
You will feel as if you are staying at a Five Star Luxury Bed and Breakfast. The master suite, “Le Jardin Suite” (Garden Suite) features a king bed that guests have raved about. This suite has soft pistachio green walls, Thibaut designer trellis wallpaper, a hydrangea wreath, a garden statuary, wrought iron accents, beautiful art and matching accessories. It is refreshing yet gives the essence of European spa like relaxation with perfection in every detail. The en suite bathroom has dual sink vanity, a claw foot soaking tub and shower with a stationary and a handheld shower head. The second guest room, La Petite Suite, has a king bed and is decorated with a Country Vintage French cotton quilt and bedding. It has a black wrought iron bed and black distressed furnishings. Beautiful original oil art work and limited edition prints complete the pleasing ambience of this room. The third guest bedroom, La Fleur (the flower), features a queen bed and an ornate and colorful vintage quilted tapestry hanging above the bed along with bedding to match. This room has brightly colored eclectic vintage wall art. All bedrooms feature flat screen TVs.
~ The Area ~
In just 350 feet, mere minutes, your toes will touch the beautiful white sands of the Gulf. Although “As Good As It Gets” has wireless internet access, you can also walk to the corner to Bad Ass Coffee for internet access and a great cup of java. Our local walkable favorite is Pascalis for pizza and to die for French Silk Pie. They offer an extra large slice for lunch which always easy and fun if you are on a walk to the beach. We are is located off Scenic Highway 98, the original beach cruising spot in South Walton, Miramar Beach and the Destin area. This road offers a side paved path is perfect for biking, jogging or a wonderful beachside stroll. The path runs right across from the gulf offering expansive views of the coastline. It's also a local favorite for sunsets walks.
You'll be a block from world-famous Pompano Joe's Resturant, where you can get the freshest fish and a tropical drink right on the beach. Jet ski, parasailing, banana boat rides and paddle board rentals are located on the beach there as well. The area is full of unique restaurants and fresh seafood and few fund finds are walkable. There are always extra special excursions you can book such as deep sea fishing or pontoon boat rentals for crab island.
