Welcome to the Catskills and rest up in this calm, small, and stylish space! We recently rebuilt the entire interior of an old brick building and imagined the first floor (entrance at back) as a guest unit for our friends & family during visits. When we do not have friends & family visiting, we are offering this space to you! We are architects by training and have placed our aesthetic energy in making this unit modern but also cozy.
The space
*** CAVEAT: Our landscaping was postponed from the summer to the fall, and now we may need to wait until the following summer to renovate our backyard properly. All that to say that our curb appeal is lacking and our backyard (where the entrance of the unit is), is plainly grassed. In addition, our backyard contains one white shed, a Webber Grill, and a wooden bench. These are visible from the windows of the unit depending on your vantage point. Other than that, the backyard backs onto an old wooded area, very pretty in the summer and fall.
The space is open concept, approx. 350 sq ft. The entire interior is brand new, as well as furnishings.
Sleeping area: queen size bed, firm mattress, brand new bedding etc. build in closet space (clothing rod, and a small shelf).
Kitchen: fully stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. No dishwasher (sorry!), Ninja all in one Airfryer, countertop hot plate. Coffee/tea provided, as well as oils/spices.
Working area: There is a desk and a chair, wifi, desk lamp, and a power bar.
Dining/living: there is a table and two stools set for eating. Our fire TV is wall mounted, please log in to your accounts as needed. HDMI cord provided.
Bathroom: Full bathroom, towels and essentials provided.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire driveway, which then leads you to the backyard, which will then lead you to the entrance of the unit. The backyard is yours to use. We only spend a third of the time at this home.
Other things to note
Note that the driveway slopes to the back where the entrance of the unit is. It would be difficult in heels or if you have substantial mobility issues.
