HEY FRIENDS!!! (my momma was really into Mr. Rogers and taught me that strangers are just friends you have yet to make, so I look forward to the day where we get to become friends!).
CLIFF NOTES:
The Seahorse of Willow Glen is bomb-diggity. If you want a killer house in Willow Glen with the added (HUGE!) bonus of having a pool and spa and unmatched high-end and delightful design, look no further. While the home is decluttered, it has a heart and soul and a robust collection of original artwork, sculptures, and antiques.

DETAILS:
LIVING SPACES:
The kitchen, living room, and dining room are “open concept” and fully open to one another. The piano is a family heirloom but you are welcome to play it as long as you are kind to it, just know that it likely is not in tune (or so I’ve been told by folks who are not tone-deaf like I am!).
There is a separate family room stocked with toys and games in the cabinets.
Both the living room and family room have large TVs with support for all the streaming channels known to man, woman, and child.
KITCHEN:
The kitchen was completely remodeled and featured by Houzz. It’s stunning. I know I’m biased, but Houzz says so too.
It has a 6 burner Wolf gas stove, Wolf oven, Sub-Zero fridge, prep sink, pot filler, Kitchen Aid standing mixer, kitchen gadgets galore, microwave drawer, island seating for six and a dedicated work station…. you honestly won’t want to leave it. No expense was spared on the remodel- if you want to chat with my husband I’m sure he’d be happy to complain to you about that ;) We left every kitchen gadget we have, so if you have any questions about specifics please holler! If we don’t have it, more than likely we will be happy to buy it for you!
SLEEPY TIME (or WORK TIME):
The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed with a Tempur-Pedic mattress and attached en-suite that includes two showers (both fully functional at the same time- no diverter! Ohhh fancy pants!), two sinks and a bidet (if that weirds you out, it functions as a normal toilet too). The bathroom has a dutch door which opens up to the hot tub/pool area, with a safety fence separating it. The bedroom also has an electric desk for either standing or sitting if you have to work while you’re here. All bedrooms are equipped with blackout shades to help ensure you get a good nights rest.
The second bedroom (Swan Dreams) has a queen-sized bed, built in desk/work station, dresser, and a table and chairs for children to play at. It also has a mouse house that is adorable to look at no matter your age: we’ve been known to find adults playing with it too.
The third bedroom (Flamingo Heaven) has bunk beds- the bottom is full sized, top a twin. The room also has a rocking chair and side table if you have very little littles. Even if you are not traveling with children, the bottom double bed is a luxury mattress and totally comfortable for adults. We do not recommend anyone sleeping in the top bunk that weighs above 150 pounds (no judgment!).
KIDS OR NO KIDS:
This home is fantastic if you have kids with you, and if you don’t have any kids I hope that you cherish your sleep (and your waistline). This home is great for kid-free trips as well! If you happen to be traveling with your littles, enjoy using the large selection of toys and games as well as the bounce house, pack-n-play, high chair, BOB strollers, wheel toys, play kitchen… the list goes on! The pool and spa are fully safety fenced regardless of who is traveling in your party.
All tall furniture is safety strapped to the walls so you do not need to worry about littles pulling anything down on themselves or earthquakes (ask me about what I was doing during the infamous 1989 earthquake!).
HALL BATH:
Palm Springs style bathroom with delightful artisan hand-painted cement tile floors (that show their age and patina) and a full tub and shower. The mural is a photo by Slim Aarons titled "Poolside Gossip". It is located in the back of the home near the three bedrooms.
LAUNDRY ROOM:
Located near the front of the house, it has a full sized washer/dryer and half bath and a floor made of pennies! We like to refer to it as “The Presidential Suite” because of all of the presidential design touches. Do you think you can find all nine Wheat pennies???? We’ve had plenty of dinner parties where people have spent an awkwardly long period of time in the bathroom only to come out yelling, “I found four!!!!”
OUTDOORS:
The pool and hot tub area in the back yard is fully safety fenced, and our front yard has a large lawn area with a picket fence and retractable screen for the driveway so it too can be fully contained (although the front yard picket fence/screen is not fully child-proof: little Houdini’s can get through). The front door is a dutch door so you can open the top half of it for fresh air when you are inside or if you want to say hey to our neighbors. They are all WONDERFUL! Speaking of which… this is a family friendly neighborhood and we ask that you be mindful and respectful of that. Aka no ragers, k thanks ;).
We have a Little Free Library in our front yard. Take a book! Leave a book! Meet a neighbor as they walk by! True story: I got my Girl Scout Gold Medal for creating a library in my junior high. This library is nowhere near as amazing, but I like to keep the love of reading alive. Another plug for reading: you will find an enormous stack of books collected from thrift stores over the years and a Card Catalog for those Dewey Decimal cards in the dining room… which may or may not perfectly fit a bottle of wine.
The backyard dining table seats six, and there is a playhouse in the patio area for the littles which is a nice distraction if the adults want to chat more while the kids need to be entertained.
The pool area has a long seated wall and seating area, two chaise lounges with a pagoda umbrella, and an outdoor daybed with sun shade and pop-up table (live that celebrity cabana life you've been dreaming about!). In case you are wondering, the seahorse shape has the nose as the pool entry steps and the tail as the hot tub. Its unique design is really fun to look at!
We worked really hard to grow nice landscaping. There are seasonal flowers and lemons that give the house a lush feeling when in bloom. Make some lemonade!
THE SEAHORSE POOL AND SPA:
Pool and Spa heating are available for an extra charge. Please contact me if you would like a quote as I price it based on the season and length of your stay (it ranges from $100-$200 per day). We really try to be green and energy conscious and do not want to be heating it if it is not going to be used. For longer stays the cost will be lower because there isn't as much energy used for the start up.
LOCATION
Located in south Willow Glen, this home is walkable to the Foxworthy Shopping Center which includes Zanottos, Georgio’s, Starbucks, CVS, Mexico Lindo and Mojo Burger. We are 2 miles from downtown Willow Glen- a nice bike ride away: take our vintage tandem Schwinn!!!! Near Highways 87, 280, 85 and 13 minutes from SJC.

The home has keyless entry. You will not have garage access for parking your car, however the driveway is large enough for two cars and there is always ample street parking.
