Volpetta’s house is a two – storey vacation house situated uphill over Agios Ioannis beach in Lefkada island.
It is a vacation house of an architect and her husband from Ioannina, who spend their summers in this, and offer hospitality for 2-3 weeks every year.
Set in a private area of 3500 square meters along with a second identical house besides it. Surrounded by forest, under Faneromeni’s monastery, filled with trees and flowers, open to the cooling sea breeze in the afternoons.
The view to Ionian Sea, the mountains of Epirus and Corfu, as well the landscape of Lefkada Island, is breathtaking.
This house designed in complete harmony with the landscape, beautifully decorated and equipped by care and personal work of the owners, makes quests feel at home .
Volpetta has two floors.
On the ground floor there is a large open plan living room(fire place, sofa bed, armchairs, TV, radio, CD player), an elegant dining area and a very well equipped kitchen. There is also a master bedroom and a bathroom. Every space leads out on to the garden, the raised courtyard with pergola , the outdoor dining and the outdoor shower
On the upper level there is a master bedroom, a twin room and a small WC.
There is also a balcony and a terrace here and the view is magnificent from everywhere.
Sitting at the hill, far from noise and crowd and so close to a lot of activities
(swimming, fishing, wind or kite surfing, riding, walking, climbing etc), the house is ideal for both : lazy or more active vacations.
The nearby Agios Ioannis beach (7 min walking distance), affords a good choice
of taverns and ¨café¨ at the beach front, as well a lot of water-sports facilities and instructions for wind or kite surfing.
The harbor of the town offers also one day trip by boat to Meganisi, Scorpios, Madouri ilands .At the center of the town there are a variety of artisan shops, taverns with local music, restaurants, bars, ¨café¨and supermarkets.
Volpetta can accommodate 6 or 7 persons.
Guests receive from me a kmz file (this file with google earth at their smart phone leads them to the house),or I can meet them by their coming to lefkada and go to "volpettahouse" together.
When travellers arrive ,I give them the key and explain whatever about the house.
Also a lot of drinks and local foods (for breakfast or light lunch -dinner) will be there to welcome my guests.
