We invite you to visit our stunning home on Teal Lake. Over 200 feet of shoreline with Western facing views for stunning sunset views. Nestled in a protected bay is your very own private home located on Teal Lake in the Chequamegon-Nicole National Forest.
It's the perfect North-Woods getaway located on Wisconsin's only quiet lakes with excellent fishing, kayaking, and swimming. As you wade out into the clear lake from our shore you will be on a firm sandy bottom without weeds. It is a perfect gradual slope out to deeper water. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee from the deck or enjoying the view from in front of the full stone fireplace this vacation home is the perfect place to come escape and relax. In the evening watch the sunset at the shoreline and then head up to our kitchen-side fire-pit for a relaxing night.

Birkie Weekend requires a 4-night minimum
September and May & the first two weeks in June require a 3-night minimum stay as do Christmas and New Year Holidays.
This beautiful custom-built lake home is tastefully decorated with a Northwoods Elegance feel. Amenities include a large fulling screened-in porch, private attached sun decks, two fireplaces, and a double garage. Enter & feel the WOW of the view out the great room wall of picture windows with French doors. Perfect for capturing those westerly summer lake breezes. Huge Cedar beams, Cathedral ceiling, Brazilian Koa floors with a centerpiece of a massive two-story stone fireplace. Easy open layout for relaxing with friends or family will give you plenty of room to spread out.
This is a cook's kitchen with an 8-foot center butch block island and GE Professional appliances with six burner range for creating your perfect meal. This home also has an extra refrigerator and pantry area in the game room lower level.
Dine-in or out in the oversized screen porch and lakeside deck. Or stargaze at night from the expansive front porch or boat dock. 1st-floor Master Bedroom suite king bed with a private deck and oversized double natural stone shower room. The upper level has 2 spacious queen bedroom suites, one with a futon that converts to a double bed, a customer natural stone bath, and a loft area. The lower level has a second sitting area with a fireplace and walks out to the lake. Lower 1 bedroom queen bed and private bathroom shower and an additional lower level bedroom with 4 twin XL (two bunks).
High-speed WIFI is provided for the moments when you want to check back in with the world or stream your favorite videos.
The rental includes two Kayaks to use during your stay. A pontoon boat can be rented for an extra fee. Ask us about it.
Teal and Lost Lakes are over 2 miles long and have over 2,000 acres of water and 5 state-owned islands for you to explore and have a summer picnic or shore lunch. Enjoy one of the best lakes in northern WI, well known for first-class fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and sailing.
Teal Lake is a 1024-acre lake with lots of undeveloped shorelines and islands to explore. Teal is known for its' excellent fishing. It's also considered a "Quite Lake" because it has a 10 MPH speed limit for motorized boats. This means you won't be seeing and hearing Jet skis and ski boats rush by all day long while sitting lakeside or out fishing. If you like to explore for people kayaking, canoeing, and boating…the six islands on Teal Lake are owned by the DNR and open to the public for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring; two have picnic areas and grills so you can even do a shore lunch: one island can be camped on overnight. The Teal River is just down our shoreline, and that is also available for fishing, boating, and great for kayaking and canoeing. The depth of the water at the shoreline is a couple of inches and sandy and clear (great for kiddos and dogs), and just sand in that area if in a drought. Pretty much every worm you fish with from the dock will catch you a small panfish, if not bigger (have caught several muskies off the dock, a largemouth bass, and tons of perch, bluegill, crappies, and sunfish)
We are located in the Chequamegon National Forest one of the top recreational sports in the state that highlights hundreds of miles of trails for every season yet close to Hayward for those who like to shop. Grab your mountain bike, hiking boots, ATV, skis or snowshoes and enjoy our national forest. The cabin is also two minutes from the Mukwanago cross country ski trails, which are well known in the area for their 4 distinct loops of world class cross country skiing.

NOTE- this home has a newly installed split level AC Unit. that cools the main areas The home was not built with central a/c but the unit takes the humidity out and cools the house down fairly nicely on those really hot days. The unit does not have central AC.
A Note About Dogs:
We LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :-) Up to two dogs are allowed at this cabin with prior approval- an additional fee applies. That being said, please be mindful of whether our home is appropriate for your dog(s).
We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog(s):
*Consider barking to be a favorite pastime;
*Chew things other than bones;
*Like to visit the neighbors unsupervised (we do not have a fenced-in yard), and/or;
*Use the house as a bathroom.
We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not (One large crate is available at the cabin). Also, it should not need to be said (but unfortunately needs to be, as we have had guests leave enough surprises for us), but PLEASE pick up after your dogs!! It is NOT the responsibility of our cleaners.
