A Peach of a Farmhouse | Haus in Palisade

Located on the Scenic Fruit and Wine Byway, our newly remodeled air-conditioned farmhouse is on a three-acre peach farm within easy biking distance to Palisade. Enjoy downtown Palisade's farmers market, distillery, and brewery. We're moments from many wineries and trailheads including Mt. Garfield & Palisade Rim. Begin, end or spend your day lounging on the front porch in the shade of mature peach trees or enjoying views of the rugged Palisades seeming to rise just outside the back door.
The space
Our home is perfect to enjoy the rural setting of the vineyards and orchards of Palisade yet still be close to activities. We've a full kitchen, dining table, livingroom and lovely front porch all for your enjoyment. One bedroom and bathroom ready for you and if you happen to have a third person in your group, there is a roll away bed available. You may place it in the house at your convenience.
There is oodles of parking space.
During growing season, please feel welcome to pick a peach for your morning cereal or better yet an afternoon cocktail. I'll share my gorgonzola-peach pizza recipe that's a family favorite. Also, you may enjoy your very own "Field-to Fork" mini experience as you harvest any herbs, tomatoes, and eggplants from the garden. If the flowers are blooming, you're welcome to make a fresh arrangement for the table. Please do not hesitate to message or call with any and all questions you may have. Be certain to read through all our info. Before booking read carefully the House Rules listed in "Things to Know." This is important. Also, we are in compliance with the strict COVID cleaning regime as outlined by Airbnb and the CDC. Also, the carriage house on the property is the owner's residence and an Airbnb for only 1-2 during tourist season.

Within 1.0 mile east of my house are three :

2) Carboy Winery; great rooftop seating
3) Maison La Belle Vie. They also have a lovely Friday and Saturday Dinner.
Within 1.0 mile south and west of the house are four more:

5) Varaison Vineyard and Winery
6) Plum Creek Winery
7) De Beque Canyon Winery (actually 1.37 miles)
Within 1.2 mile north and east of the house are two more:

9) Deroco Winery: formerly St. Kathrine's
Also, not to be missed; I walk to these regularly. They are:
10) The Palisade Brewery; weekends usually feature live music.
11) My all time favorite, The Peach Street Distillery. You'll not want to miss Sunday morning Bloody Mary's there!
12) Peche: French for peach boasts a Michelin Star chef. The menu changes regularly. It is fabulous!
13) Thursday and Friday evenings at Maison Belle La Vie and Vaision Winery are such fun! Maison has fabulous food and wine and Varaision has Firepit Friday with food and drinks.
Breakfast recommendations:
Our little Palisade Café has yummy breakfast and I can highly recommend our little bakery in town, The Slice of Life. Oh my gosh!!! Such yummy breakfast burritos and pastries that would curl your hair. Coffee in many iterations as well. I love its atmosphere. So cozy and charming. Be sure and stop in a Pressed a charming spot for coffee, pasteries, charcuterie and cocktails! Additionally, Peche is a new restaurant in town. It is absolutely fabulous!!! Also, we love using one of our family-owned businesses, Grub Gofers. They deliver food from many restaurants, groceries and alcohol. You can see their full offering and menus online. Why cook?
On Sundays the Palisade Farmers Market is a delight! It'a been recently extended into September and October. We love to have Bloody Mary's at The Peach Street Distillery and then saunter through the market:))
Guest access
The house is yours to use respectfully. We've a full kitchen, diningroom table, livingroom and lovely front porch as well as one bedrooma and bathroom all for your enjoyment. If you happen to have a third person in your group, there is a roll away bed available.
The carriage house is our part time residence and an Airbnb for 1-2 people during the Airbnb season.
Please do not disturb the irrigation pump house. Please refrain from walking in the orchard. Every once in awhile there's a bump or rut due to tractor use.Thank you.
This is a working organic peach farm. Our farming activities won't impact your stay in the house and enjoyment of the yard but you may get to see us farming. We irrigate throughout the growing season.
Depending on the season you stay you may get to see us pruning, thinning or even picking peaches. In these cases occasionally a tractor may make a trip or two up the driveway and into the orchard.
I am absolutely available to offer help throughout your stay.
