This traditional Austrian style is perched on the side of Cannon Mountain in stunning Franconia Notch, with a beautiful Northwestern view that stretches into the mountains of Vermont. Enjoy a cocktail on the huge deck and feel like you're on top of the world, while you spend your days enjoying the many activities that make this one of the top destinations in the country - from Cannon, Loon and Bretton Woods to Franconia Notch State Park, Whale's Tale, Santa's Village and much more. And with our lower rates for longer stays, why not enjoy a few extra days?
Comfortable and no-frills, the home will invite you in with a large kitchen, and a beautiful living area focused around a beautiful stone fireplace with the convenience of a gas insert. Since the house is built on a mountainside, you will enter from the top level, which includes the living room, kitchen (including a large dining table), a family room with cable TV, and a full bathroom. The large windows and French doors allow you to soak in the incredible views of the valley below, and during the summer months the large deck is an amazing place to admire the view or spot the occasional wildlife that goes by. Head down the stairs to find 4 more bedrooms, each with bathroom, and go down one more level to find another living area with a twin bed, plus a sleeping room with 2 twin beds. This Home does not have AC. Our climate is mild and AC is generally not needed. Fans are provided.
There are several CRT televisions in the photos. These are not functioning with cable. They are planned for replacement. TV is available in the main bedroom with desk and the upper level family room only.
House Rules:
Due to the behavior of a minority of our guests, we must hold these rules strictly. We apologize if it feels that some of these rules are strict or overbearing. Short Term rentals affect the communities around them and we must do our duty to protect our local residents, our owners and homes and the broader communities that we operate in. We appreciate your understanding. And we appreciate you abiding by these rules with respect and diligence.
-Guest will be required to sign a rental agreement
-Check-in: Any time after 4PM unless otherwise authorized.
-Checkout is 11 am - Unauthorized late checkouts subject to $100/hr fee.
-Property may be equipped with cameras on the exterior of the property. They will not be recording audio nor will they be able to see areas of property where personal privacy should be expected, such as windows or hot tubs.
-The number of people in the unit cannot exceed the reported guest count without approval.
-Guests on property that are not provided in your guest list will be considered as trespassing.
-No events, parties or large gatherings. An event is any period of time that guests not included in the guest count are at the property.
-At no time is it acceptable for people, instruments, tvs, speakers, or other audio devices to be so loud as to be a nuisance to others.
-Guests expected to follow posted speed limits and drive cautiously.
-No smoking inside the unit; $250 fee for violation.
-No fireworks; $100 fee for violations.
-No trash is to be left outside at any time; $100 fee for violations.
-We have relaxed our cancellation policies. However, please note that there will be no exception to these policies, for no reason, no matter what the circumstances. Travel insurance is available on our website and from a variety of other sources; it is the traveler's responsibility to decide whether to protect their purchase or not. Due to contractual obligations with property owners, we will not be able to make any exceptions under any circumstances.
-Home is in a wooded location. Please refrain from leaving doors propped open and avoid leaving food in open space which could attract rodents and/or insects.
-No pets allowed. Unauthorized pets subject to $300 fee and immediate removal from the unit.
