53 ACRE Paradise in the Sky w/ Endless Views! | Haus in Port Jervis

(Vrbo just transfered my listing from another rental service and made a mess of things so bear with me while I fix this page) This sky high chalet, which sits on top of a hill and overlooks the Hudson Valley and New Jersey below, is ideal for any guests looking to get away from it all! When you pull into the driveway prepare to be blown away by the miles and miles of views that seem to offer up a new experience every day. The house sits on 53 private acres which you have full access to. From exploring and relaxing in the hot tub and pool to playing games and singing karaoke, my house has something for everyone.
The space
A constantly being renovated colonial home turned into a hilltop chalet where you can enjoy the summer sunsets and the winters’ falling snow from the 2-story great room overlooking miles and miles of the Hudson Valley!
The two porches are ideal for relaxing, bird watching, bear watching and entertaining. There is a beautiful front lawn for recreational activities or you can lounge on a hammock next to the 8 foot wind chime in the zen garden and admire the expansive views. There is also a huge fire pit surrounded by comfortable Adirondack chairs where I recommend nightly stargazing to take place. Further off to the side of the house I have a dedicated plot of land I am restoring to native meadowland for our native pollinators and wildlife with a walking path throughout. Within this meadow there is a newly constructed pag0da with a swing bench to relax in. Behind the pag0da you’ll find a young fruit orchard and feel free to eat any fruit in season. On the back porch you will find an all-year hot tub, lounge chairs, a BBQ grill and outdoor dining table right off the kitchen. Off the back porch is a 25 foot summer seasonal pool and 50 wooded acres that offer privacy and plenty of room for hiking and exploring!
Hosting holidays and gatherings will be a breeze in the fully accessorized house and kitchen. On the main floor enjoy the 2-story great room with a huge fire place and ample wood for you to use. The living room has a 65 inch TV with full access to many streaming services, a Blu-ray player and plenty of DVDs to choose from as well as a bunch of board games and puzzles to play with. Next to the TV room you'll find a formal dining room with a 10 person table. There is a fully functional kitchen with two ovens and all the appliances you would need. I have an additional 6 person dining table just off the kitchen and further down is a pool table and shuffleboard. Next to that is an office with desk and a fully stocked library equipped with more books than anyone could read and a comfortable reading nook. Further down the hall you will find the washer/dryer followed by the garage.
Upstairs you will find the 4 bedrooms which are virtually identical and which have ample space for 2 people each. The bathrooms upstairs have recently been renovated, both have walk in rain showers and heated floors. Three of the rooms have a queen size mattress and one room has a king size mattress and en suite bathroom. Each room has a nightstand, a phone charging base, a lamp, a salt lamp, a personal space heater/fan, a luggage rack and a closet with hangers. If you are requesting the house for more than 8 guests than these are the additional sleeping areas: In the finished basement there are 4 Twin XL roll away mattresses and 1 Twin mattress tucked in the closet next to the ping pong table. At night you can roll back the ping pong table, roll out the mattresses and have a comfortable sleeping arrangement. Feel free to place these beds wherever you like throughout the house. There are also 2 large couches in that room. In the laundry room you will find a Queen size air mattress. The large couch in the TV room will comfortable fit two people as well.
In the finished basement you have access to a full gym including a smith machine & cage system, free weights, and assault bike. There is an amazing 3 person infrared sauna, a ping pong table, ample seating and a karaoke set up as well. Oh, and disco lights! As mentioned above, tucked in the closet you will find 5 rollaway mattresses.
Wifi access is throughout the house and the property has decent cell phone service (verizon).
Complimentary coffee and tea will be provided for guests. Since I do reside in this house from time to time the pantry and fridge may also be semi-stocked with condiments and you are welcome to eat whatever is in the fridge, freezer and pantry. Of course the majority of the fridge and pantry will be cleared for your personal use.
I’ve been told time and time again my pictures don’t do my house Justice as mentioned in my many great reviews. This house is my special retreat and I’m happy to share it all with you.

Dogs need to be discussed beforehand. Extra house rules apply if your pooch is accompanying you.

A few bad guests have caused me to write the following:
-Do NOT trespass on my neighbors' property.
-Do NOT use the machinery or tools in the garage, including but not limited to the ATV, lawnmower, chainsaw, etc.
-Do not drive fast on the shared driveway.
-No fireworks allowed.
-Do not walk/sit/play on the roof.
-Since I’ve had a few people be untruthful to me about the number of guests they’re bringing, I may check the cameras upon arrival and confirm that the house was properly booked with the correct amount of people.
