Fairways West is a newly renovated luxury property with four bedrooms and accommodating up to eight. To the rear of the south facing cottage is a lovely colourful garden and terrace area where children can play safely. Guests can also take advantage of the onsite leisure facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool*, which are only a short walk away.
The dog friendly Fairway West has four tastefully decorated bedrooms, one of which is located on the ground floor and great for families staying with grandparent. The bedrooms include two standard doubles (one upstairs and one downstairs) and two with zip and link beds allowing them to be made up as either a twin or a double depending on your requirements. The Master Bedroom located on the first floor benefits from its own with en-suite bathroom featuring a bath with overhead shower attachment. There are also two family bathrooms, the first is situated on the first floor and has a shower, whilst the second positioned downstairs near the double bedroom has a bath with overhead shower.
All the rooms at Fairways West are light and bright and have just been decorated and refurbished so like new. Downstairs there is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric cooker with 4 ring hob, plus a large fridge-freezer.
Off the kitchen is a wonderful, bright dining room with a lovely wooden table, which seats up to 8. The room opens onto the patio through French-doors. Beyond the dining room is a stylish, double aspect lounge with wood-burner and huge comfy sofas, plus a wall mounted TV.
Outside is a quiet patio, with pine table and chairs and a BBQ. Beyond the patio there are steps leading up to a large lawned garden, which is mainly level.
Fairways West can be booked alongside its sister cottage Fairways East. Together these two beautiful, luxury cottages provide a total of eight bedrooms, accommodating up to 16 (cottages linked by double internal doors).
When staying at the cottage, guests can take the short walk up to the hotel where they will find a lovely restaurant with countryside views, as well as several comfy lounges and bars where drinks can be enjoyed. The leisure facilities* are also within walking distance and many are included in the price of the cottage, such as the indoor heated swimming pool, the sauna and hot tub, the Billiards Room with full size snooker table and the gym. A small additional charge is required for use of the all-weather tennis courts and 9-hole golf course.
Nearby there is the quaint North Devon village of Chittlehamholt, which has a good dog friendly pub and a few miles further on is Chittlehampton, which has a medieval church and award winning pub.
The market town of South Molton is not far, and the stunning beaches of North Devon are about 30 minutes away and provide great surfing, there are also a few quiet coves perfect for families with small children. Exmoor is a half an hours drive away and Exeter is about an hour away. The fishing village of Appledore is not far and full of pretty art and craft shops. Across from Appledore is Instow another quaint estuary village with great pubs and restaurants.
* Please note: for bookings arriving between April and May, guests will need to book the swimming pool on a hourly basis so only your household uses the pool at one time. Tennis and golf is also available by booking slots. Spa facilities are currently closed under further government guidelines are reviewed.
