Away from it all, a lovely large bell tent with a cosy cabin, which also features a separate compost toilet and shower.. All on the ground floor.

No children under 10 years old, except babes in arms. . If you fancy getting away from it all but still want some home comforts, then Gemini Camp is perfect. Set in a wild meadow yet only minutes from Stansted Airport, the cabin and bell tent offer a proper camping experience, but without the discomfort. The camp features a gas-powered shower, a compost toilet, cooking facilities and most importantly, a proper bed. The cosy cabin has a lounge/kitchen dining area with the added bonus of a wood burner, perfect for sitting in front of with your favourite tipple watching the glorious stars on chilly autumn or winter evenings. Keen an eye for the local herd of deer which can been seen wandering around the meadow. The bedroom with a double bed is next door, as is the shower and toilet. The large bell tent is very romantic and seating and is set away from the cabin. Perfect for a romantic getaway or even a proposal!
Once you stroll into the meadow, you can leave behind all the hustle and bustle of life and relax. There is a 9-hole golf course and adventure golf right on your doorstep. The golf club also features a gym, driving range and restaurant. Stansted Mountfitchet is only a few miles up the road and boasts a lovely wine bar, pubs, restaurants, and independent shops. For history buffs, a visit to Mountfitchet Castle is a must. The riverside town of Bishop Stortford is only 7 miles away, where you will find an array of restaurants, shops, bars, theatres and museums.
For a day at the coast, a trip to Mersea will not disappoint. Mersea gets cut off for about an hour when there is a very high tide, usually once a month, so it’s worthwhile checking the tides, all adding to the uniqueness and charm. It is a beautiful island with lots of coastal and nature walks, seafood restaurants with the famous Mersea oysters, delis, takeaways, a supermarket and child-friendly pubs with craft beer.
