Recently converted, this original Great Western Railway carriage packs a serious punch. In its heyday it would have carried holidaymakers from Paddington to Penzance. The best quality fixtures and fittings have been used while retaining as much of the original character as possible. What has been created is a property that benefits from a modern, high end open-plan kitchen, an Art Deco inspired living room and a cosy bedroom. To enter the Carriage Ely you’ll first ascend the eight steps before you enter the property. You’ll step straight into the thoughtfully presented kitchen, this features everything that you’re likely to need for a short break. The bathroom is found opposite the galley kitchen. Move further through the carriage and you’ll find a richly Art Deco themed living room which benefits from attentive interior design, excellent furnishings and loads of natural daylight. The original seats and table makes great use of space to watch some TV or just kick back with a glass of wine and relax. Why not sit outside on the patio, light the firepit and enjoy a romantic spot under the stars? As bedtime draws in, move onwards to the luxurious bedroom area with a kingsize bed featuring a luxury hypoallergenic natural wool mattress and feather down duvet, combined with high quality linens ensuring that you have a great night’s sleep.
