Located under 4 miles from the village of Buckland Brewer, just under 9 miles from the main village of Bideford and approximately 8 miles from the nearest beach on the north Cornish coast, Higher Thorne is the ideal base for discovering Devon and North Cornwall.
The beaches are a main attraction of the region for many and with some of the best in the UK like Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Westward Ho! and Croyde being easily reached by car from the property, surfing, windsurfing and lazy sandy days should definitely be on your agenda. The South West Coast Path is also a popular ‘must visit’ for keen runners and walkers! If golf is your thing, then you will be spoiled for choice with excellent courses including the Royal North Devon Club in Westward Ho! which was founded in 1864 and is the oldest golf course in England and the wonderful Championship Links Saunton Club.
